Job summary

RG Setsquare is recruiting an experienced Painter & Decorator to work on cyclical maintenance contracts for a local council. The role covers internal and external decoration across residential blocks and communal areas.

You must have proven painting and decorating experience, ideally with NVQ or City & Guilds, own tools and transport, and the ability to work independently or in a team. DBS check may be required.

• Must have own tools and transport.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality painting and decorating works to a professional standard.
• Internal works including hallways, stairwells, and communal areas.
• External painting works to residential buildings and blocks.
• Surface preparation including sanding, filling, and priming.
• Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed timeframes.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times.

Salary: 35,500 per annum ( 17.29 per hour) + Overtime + Weekly Bonus + Mileage Allowance

Job Overview:

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator
• Ideally hold relevant painting & decorating qualifications (e.g. NVQ or City & Guilds)
• Must have own tools and transport
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and workmanship
• Must be able to pass a DBS check
