Job summary

Bromford Flagship Livewest is seeking a dedicated Painter to refresh and finish homes across our properties. You’ll be out and about, delivering high-quality decoration and safe, welcoming spaces for residents, with a 40-hour week and a Friday finish model.

Qualifications

• Full Trade Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 in painting & decorating.
• Strong practical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to assess work requirements and plan tasks effectively.
• Great customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out a wide range of painting and decorating repairs and maintenance.
• Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling, priming, and finishing.
• Completing glossing and full property decoration.
• Cleaning and treating damp and mould.
• Supporting with void clearances and flood repairs.
• Working alongside other trades when needed.
• Identifying issues such as asbestos and arranging appropriate action.
• Using schedules of rates to estimate jobs and manage workloads efficiently.
• Delivering excellent customer service to residents.

Job description

We’re recruiting a Painter here at Bromford Flagship Livewest, to help transform our properties into safe, welcoming homes for our customers. From refreshing tired spaces to tackling repairs, your work will make a real difference every day.

You’ll be out and about, working across properties, delivering a high-quality service and ensuring every finish meets our standards—first time.

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday: 08:00-17:00, Friday: 08:00-14:30

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Carrying out a wide range of painting and decorating repairs and maintenance

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• A Full Trade Apprenticeship / NVQ Level 2 in painting & decorating (or equivalent experience)
• Strong practical skills and a keen eye for detail
• Ability to assess work requirements and plan tasks effectively
• Great customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Confidence using digital tools (e.g., Outlook, Teams, scheduling systems)
• A full UK driving licence
• Willingness to join an out-of-hours on-call rota
