Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Chester is seeking an experienced Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician to deliver high-quality refinishing work and uphold industry standards.

You will prepare vehicles, mix colours, and apply primers and topcoats, working closely with the workshop team in a modern facility.

This full-time role offers a competitive basic salary from £37,500+, OTE £45,000+, and unlimited overtime with a Time Saved Bonus, plus long-term career prospects in a reputable Bodyshop.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Vehicle Refinishing (NVQ / IMI / City & Guilds / ATA or equivalent), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer, Paint Technician or Automotive Paint Refinisher.
• Strong knowledge of modern refinishing techniques and paint systems.
• A full UK driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing vehicles and panels ready for the paint process.
• Mixing and colour matching paint to manufacturer specifications.
• Applying primer, basecoat and lacquer to achieve a flawless finish.
• Carrying out polishing, rectification and final quality inspections where required.
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• Working closely with Panel Beaters, MET Technicians and the wider workshop team to ensure vehicles are completed on time.

The Role
