Paint Shop Cell Leader

Location: Farnborough
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000
Hours: 38 hrs/week, Monday–Friday
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Paint Shop Cell Leader Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Paint Shop Cell Leader to manage daily operations, people management, and continuous improvement within our paint shop. The role requires expertise in wet paint spraying and spray gun usage.

Primary Duties:

• Manage team performance, appraisals, and training.
• Plan efficient use of labour, materials, and equipment.
• Improve wet and powder painting processes and suggest necessary equipment.
• Implement lean principles and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain clear communication of production targets and schedules.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health & safety procedures.
• Monitor paint shelf-life and manage inventory.
• Address personnel issues effectively, manage annual leave and appraisals.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping standards (7S principles).

Essential Skills:

• Extensive wet paint spraying experience (essential).
• Spray gun knowledge and experience required.
• Proven leadership and team-management skills.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
