Job summary

Engage Education are seeking a SEND Apprentice TA to provide 1:1 and small group SEN support in a Tameside secondary school for the full academic year. This paid role will run Monday to Friday from September 2026 to July 2027, with enhanced DBS desirable and a guaranteed TA qualification upon completion of the 11-month course.

A permanent school placement may follow on successful course completion. You will help create a supportive classroom atmosphere and build rapport with students while

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in any capacity.
• 2026 graduates desirable – Any subject.
• Naturally outgoing and engaging individual with interest in teaching.
• Enhanced DBS on update service desirable but NOT mandatory.
• Open to full-time work beginning September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tailored 1:1 and small group SEN support.
• Create warm and inspiring atmosphere for students throughout the school day.
• Create and sustain meaningful rapport with students.
• Communicate with colleagues and report to SENCO.
• Located in one Tameside secondary school for the full academic year.
