Job summary

Engage Education are seeking a SEND Apprentice Teaching Assistant in Manchester to deliver tailored 1:1 and small group SEN support in a secondary setting. You will foster a warm, engaging classroom environment and build rapport with students while communicating with school staff.

The role runs for the full academic year 2026–2027, with a daily pay of £55–£80 during term time and pay across holidays. A guaranteed TA qualification (Level 3 or 4) is offered upon course completion, with potential

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in any capacity.
• Open to full-time work beginning September 2026.
• Enhanced DBS update service desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conducting specifically tailored 1:1 & small group support for children with SEN
• Creating warm and inspiring atmosphere for children throughout school day
• Creating and sustaining meaningful rapport with students
• Communicating with colleagues and reporting to school SENCO
• Located in one Greater Manchester secondary school for full academic year
