Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd. is seeking an Electronics Engineering MEng Placement student for a 6-month paid placement at Edinburgh or Newcastle. You will work on real-world projects, contribute to avionics sensor system development, and gain hands-on experience from day one.

The role offers exposure to hardware design, testing, and documentation, with guidance from an experienced engineer and potential progression to the Graduate Development Programme.

Qualifications

• You should be pursuing an MEng in Electronics Engineering.
• Eligible candidates are final or penultimate year students.
• Industrial placement of 6 months to meet academic requirements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to real-life engineering problems on avionics sensor systems.
• Apply academic knowledge to design, testing, and qualification activities.
• Develop skills with ECAD tools and measurement equipment under supervision.
• Deliver technical reports and presentations to supervisors and peers.
• Support the wider engineering team across the project lifecycle.
