Job summary

Together Housing Group is offering an Apprentice Electrician role to learn, develop practical electrical skills, and contribute to maintaining homes for customers. The programme includes on-the-job training and college work delivered with Places for People Thrive Training Academy, with travel and accommodation for Derby Academy.

The role is a 37-hour week apprenticeship over 48 months, with progression to a nationally recognised electrical qualification and strong mentoring support.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at the required level for apprenticeship entry.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair techniques.
• Assist qualified electricians with planned and responsive maintenance across housing stock.
• Carry out work safely following electrical regulations and health and safety procedures.
• Develop fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Complete college work and apprenticeship assessments alongside practical training with Thrive Training Academy.
