Job description

Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Paediatric Nurses to join our supportive and forward-thinking team in delivering excellent, child-centred care.

Frimley Park Hospital’s Paediatric Emergency Department currently sees almost 30,000 children per year, aged 0-17, with diverse needs ranging from minor injuries and illnesses to trauma and resuscitation.

We are proud of our local and national reputation for consistently high standards of clinical care. We believe this is partly due to our focus on staff training and development.

We offer dedicated practice development leadership and a staff nurse development programme that supports learning in key areas such as emergency nursing skills, plastering, minor injury assessment, and paediatric life support.

Additionally, we provide both internal and external opportunities to develop leadership skills, including ED specialist courses and departmental simulation training.

Main duties of the job

To work as part of a team of nurses, healthcare assistants, and care assistants, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.

The fast-paced environment of Paediatric ED requires staff to be adaptable, adjusting priorities as patient and department needs change rapidly. We seek motivated and flexible nurses who can adapt to this dynamic environment while maintaining patient safety and compassion as top priorities.

Please note: you must have current (or pending) UK NMC registration.
