Job summary

Nuffield Health is seeking a Paediatric Nurse to care for children aged 3–16 during pre/post-operative stays and during ward, clinic, and procedure visits. You’ll join a team focused on exceptional patient care and supportive family involvement.

As a registered nurse with the NMC and post-registration paediatric experience, you’ll contribute to a flexible, patient-centred ward environment and enjoy a benefits package designed for healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Paediatric nursing qualification and registration (NMC) required.
• Experience caring for children aged 3–16 years in hospital settings.
• Ability to work flexibly and in ad-hoc bank shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, clinically effective care as part of the ward team.
• Support children through their hospital journey and assist parents/guardians.
• Broaden skills across a wide variety of paediatric cases and specialist areas.

Job description

• Ideally possess Intermediate Life Support (ILS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.

• Have a passion for delivering exceptional care to look after children between the ages of 3-16 years during their pre/post operative stay on the ward and whilst they attend clinics and procedures around the hospital.

• Play a vital role in supporting children through their hospital journey, acting as a trusted support for both patients and their parents or guardians.

• Deliver high quality, clinically effective care as an essential part of our ward team

• Broaden your skills across a wide variety of cases

• Work within different specialist areas

  As a Paediatric Nurse in our hospital, you'll be alert, focused, detail-oriented and empathetic. You're registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. With post-registration experience, you're a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.
