Job summary

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital is seeking a Paediatric Nurse to join our bank, part-time team. You will provide compassionate care to children aged 3–16 during pre/post-operative stays and clinics, working across ward and theatre areas, with flexible hours to fit your availability.

You must be registered with the NMC or governing body and bring post-registration paediatric experience. An ILS/ALS certification would be ideal; you will collaborate with a supportive ward team to deliver

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NMC registration and paediatric qualification.
• Post-registration experience in paediatric care or related ward settings.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative ward team.

Responsibilities

• Bring valuable post-registration paediatric ward experience across surgical and general care.
• Ideal to hold Intermediate Life Support (ILS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
• Care for children aged 3-16 during pre- and post-operative stays and during clinics.
• Support children and their parents/guardians throughout the hospital journey.
• Deliver high-quality, clinically effective care as part of the ward team.
• Broaden skills across a wide range of cases and specialties.
• Work in different specialist areas with flexible hours.

Paediatric Nurse

Guildford Hospital | Nursing | Bank | Part Time |

Up to £25 per hour depending on experience

As a Paediatric Nurse, you will:

• Bring valuable post-registration experience, including work on the surgical ward, with a dual training approach that equips you for both paediatric and adult care environments.
• Ideally possess Intermediate Life Support (ILS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
• Have a passion for delivering exceptional care to look after children between the ages of 3-16 years during their pre/post operative stay on the ward and whilst they attend clinics and procedures around the hospital.
• Play a vital role in supporting children through their hospital journey, acting as a trusted support for both patients and their parents or guardians.
• Deliver high quality, clinically effective care as an essential part of our ward team
• Broaden your skills across a wide variety of cases
• Work within different specialist areas
