Job summary

Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital is seeking a Bank Children and Young People Nurse (RN) to provide paediatric care across pre/post‑operative pathways. The role supports children aged 3–16 and collaborates with families, across paediatric and adult settings, delivering high‑quality clinical care.

The post requires current NMC registration, post‑registration paediatric experience and flexibility to work ad hoc bank shifts with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Registered Paediatric Nurse with NMC registration.
• Post-registration experience in paediatrics.
• Desirable PILS or equivalent.
• Able to work ad hoc bank shifts.

As a Paediatric Nurse in our hospital, you'll be alert, focused, detail-oriented and empathetic. You're registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. With post-registration experience, you're a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care. A Paediatric Immediate Life Support certificate (PILS) or equivalent is desirable.

As a Paediatric Nurse, you will:

• Bring valuable post-registration experience, including work on the surgical ward, with a dual training approach that equips you for both paediatric and adult care environments.
• Ideally possess Intermediate Life Support (ILS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
• Have a passion for delivering exceptional care to look after children between the ages of 3-16 years during their pre/post operative stay on the ward and whilst they attend clinics and procedures around the hospital.
• Play a vital role in supporting children through their hospital journey, acting as a trusted support for both patients and their parents or guardians.
• Deliver high quality, clinically effective care as an essential part of our ward team
• Broaden your skills across a wide variety of cases

Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital specialities include orthopaedics, spinal surgery, eye care, oncology, diagnostic imaging, and general surgery. We are located on the outskirts of Royal Leamington Spa with easy access by rail and road - we have a large, free car park.

Our CYP Service inpatient and day case surgery includes orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, General surgery. and Dental/ MaxFac We also have a busy diagnostic imaging service and Out Patient Department where we offer a CYP phlebotomy service and Preoperative assessment to all children who are going to be admitted for surgery. We're located on the outskirts of Royal Leamington Spa with easy access by rail and road - we have a large, free car park.
