Job summary

Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Biomedical Scientist with Haematology expertise to join the Haematology Laboratory in paediatric diagnostics. The role focuses on scientific leadership, technical support, and ensuring quality management under ISO:15189 standards.

Applicants should be HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists with post-registration Haematology experience and may hold or be working towards MSc/FIMBS/HSD in Haematology.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with post-registration Haematology experience.
• Possession or pursuit of MSc, FIMBS or HSD in Haematology.
• Ability to lead within a Haematology Laboratory and support QMS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific expertise and leadership within the Haematology Laboratory.
• Contribute to maintaining UKAS ISO:15189 (2022) standards and QMS.
• Train and support laboratory staff; supervise junior members.
