Job summary

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the routine diagnostic service across histopathology functions.
• Work as part of a team to provide high-quality service with timely results for patients and research.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills for specialist techniques (e.g., rapid histochemical investigation, IHC, enzyme histochemistry).
• Handle, process, transport and dispose of samples in compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements.
• Ensure accuracy of data in pathology computer systems and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist in maintaining UKAS ISO 15189 accreditation.
• Undertake technical work and train other staff as required.
• Ensure safe working practices and compliance with Safety Manual and Health and Safety at Work Act.
