Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Paediatric Float Ward Clerk (Band 2). The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a fixed-term contract for 12 months to cover long-term sickness. The post involves patient-facing administrative duties within the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

Qualifications

• Clerical/administration experience, preferably including reception duties.
• Experience using CareFlow and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact on the ward for patients and visitors.
• Greet, signpost and direct patients and relatives; process patient information.
• Liaise with clinical staff, GPs and support staff by phone and email as required.
• Enter and update patient details on computer systems to ensure real‑time patient flow.
