We are currently in the process of redeveloping the hospital to provide a new state-of-the-art hospital for the residents of Hillingdon, and beyond, which supports the very best in delivery of healthcare and will be fit for our future.
We are looking for a confident and motivated Dietitian to join our Dietetic and Speech Therapy Team at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Our friendly team consists of 13 Dietitians, 9 Speech & Language Therapists and 3 administrators.
The clinical caseload will include providing a high quality, evidence-based specialist dietetic service to the paediatric inpatient ward and 2 general paediatric outpatient clinics. You will be supported by a senior dietitian and will have the opportunity to upskill in areas such as neonatalogy, cystic fibrosis and diabetes. The post holder will be involved in educating staff on matters relating to nutrition and catering and will supervise student dietitians on placement. The post holder will be expected to manage their caseload independently and will be involved in department wide projects and service improvements.
The Dietetic and Speech Therapy team is committed to continuing professional development, providing monthly coaching conversations and professional development sessions. We encourage staff as part of their annual appraisal to have an active involvement in audit and service improvement projects. There are excellent opportunities and guidance for ongoing personal development. There is a well-established borough-wide Dietetic network who offers peer support.
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
