We are pleased to offer an exciting Band 5 Dietitian opportunity within Barts Health NHS Trust’s rotational programme. This post provides a unique chance to gain broad clinical experience across sites through three distinct 9-month rotations, starting with Renal Dietetics at The Royal London Hospital.

This rotational structure is designed to develop your skills across diverse clinical environments while providing specialist training in each area. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams in each setting, gaining hands-on experience and tailored support to enhance your professional development.
The successful candidate will have good nutrition support skills in the acute setting and an interest in renal nutrition and other specialties within the rotation. You must be an excellent communicator with patients from diverse backgrounds and work effectively in clinical teams.

To provide high-quality, evidence-based dietetic care to patients as part of the dietetic teams at the Royal London Hospital. This 9-month rotational post will start in the renal dietetic team at the Royal London Hospital, which includes a Band 8 Team Lead, 4 Band 7s, 4 Band 6s, and 1 Band 5 Dietitian.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering dietetic input across all stages of the kidney care pathway, including chronic kidney disease, haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and post-transplant care. This includes managing an inpatient caseload on the renal wards and providing dietetic support to patients across several dialysis units.
The role involves working closely with the multidisciplinary team to optimise nutritional care and contributing to service development through audit, training, clinical supervision, and quality improvement initiatives.
The other two rotations are within specialist medicine.
