HEINEKEN UK Supply Chain in Manchester is seeking a technically skilled Technician to maintain our packaging lines and ensure reliable production. You’ll perform corrective maintenance, diagnose faults, and drive TPM and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

The role requires an Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent, experience with automated manufacturing, and the ability to work autonomously on high-speed packaging lines. Competitive benefits and shift pattern included.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an Engineering Apprenticeship or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering qualification (HND/NVQ Level 3) or time served as Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical bias).
• Experience in a highly automated, safety-critical manufacturing environment, with exposure to high-speed packaging lines (canning preferred).
• Experience executing planned maintenance techniques and using CMMS systems.
• A continuous improvement mindset
• Confidence and ability to work autonomously

Responsabilités

• Perform corrective and reactive maintenance addressing defects, losses and breakdowns.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, automation and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement countermeasures, including risk assessments and 5S activities.
• Drive TPM initiatives to reduce losses and promote lean practices.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance with colleagues to maximise production reliability.
• Support and guide shop-floor operators and delegate tasks as needed.
• Collaborate on autonomous maintenance tasks and assist shift manager with asset issues.
• Record non-conformities in CMMS to support continuous improvement.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and reliability, contributing to safety, quality and cost goals.
• Uphold HSE standards to maintain a safe working environment.
