Job summary

HEINEKEN UK Supply Chain in Tadcaster is seeking a Technician to maintain our bottling and packaging line on a permanent basis. The role supports production of around 4.2 mhl per year and ensures machinery runs at peak efficiency with minimal downtime.

You will diagnose electrical, automation and mechanical faults, lead RCA investigations, and contribute to TPM initiatives while supporting operators on the shop floor and upholding strict HSE standards.

Qualifications

• Near/full completion of an Apprenticeship, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (HND or NVQ Level 3) OR time served as a Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical Bias).
• Experience in a highly automated, safety-critical manufacturing environment with high-speed packaging lines (bottling).
• Experience executing planned maintenance techniques and CMMS usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and reactive maintenance to address defects and breakdowns.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, automation and mechanical faults, minimizing downtime.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement countermeasures including risk assessments and 5S activities.
• Drive TPM initiatives to eliminate losses and promote lean practices.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to maximise production reliability.
• Support and guide shop-floor operators and delegate tasks to maintain smooth production.
