Job summary

WR Engineering is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover customer sites across the Midlands. You will install, commission and service packaging machinery, working predominantly on-site with a focus on electrical and mechanical fault-finding and efficient problem resolution.

The role requires strong customer-facing skills, a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel. A competitive package includes a basic salary up to £40,000 plus OTE to £50,000, with overtime and a company van

Qualifications

• Essential field service engineering experience.
• Packaging machinery experience essential.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with automated machinery and control systems.
• Willingness to travel across the Midlands and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and service packaging machinery at customer sites.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and reactive breakdown support.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and control-system faults.
• Complete machinery upgrades and installations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
