Job summary

WR Engineering is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the UK on a field-based basis. You will install, commission, service, maintain and repair automated packaging equipment at customer sites across the UK.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, PLC knowledge and a willingness to travel. A full UK driving licence is essential and overtime is available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Packaging Machinery Engineer or Field Service Engineer.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with automated packaging equipment and PLC-controlled machinery.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and repair packaging equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical, electrical and control systems.
• Attend customer breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime.
• Troubleshoot sensors, motors, drives and PLC systems.
• Provide technical support and complete service reports.
