Job summary

WR Engineering in the Midlands is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission and service packaging machinery at customer sites across the Midlands and surrounding areas. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, carry out preventative maintenance and upgrade equipment where required, while working predominantly on-site and building strong relationships with customers.

The role requires field service experience, packaging machinery knowledge, and a full UK driving licence

Field Service Engineer

Location: Midlands
Salary: Up to £40,000 Basic + OTE up to £50,000

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering business, covering customer sites across the Midlands and surrounding areas.

This is a customer-facing role focused on the installation, commissioning, servicing and repair of packaging machinery. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and be confident diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on complex automated equipment.

You will work predominantly on-site, providing a high level of technical support while building strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission and service packaging machinery at customer sites.

• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Midlands and occasionally further afield.
