The Warwickshire County Cricket Club Limited is seeking an experienced Pace Bowling Consultant to develop our next generation of pace bowlers. You will work with the Lead Bowling Coach, pathway leads, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver coaching across U15–U18, EPP and Academy programmes, shaping players toward professional cricket.
You will analyse performance data, contribute to player appraisals, and potentially deputise for the Lead Bowling Coach.
We're looking for an experienced and ambitious Pace Bowling Consultant to play a key role in developing our most promising young bowlers and supporting the performance of our professional men's bowling group. Working alongside our Lead Bowling Coach, Pathway and Academy Leads, and wider multi-disciplinary team, you'll deliver specialist coaching across our U15-U18, EPP and Academy programmes, helping talented young players progress towards professional cricket. From individual coaching and player development planning to professional training sessions and matchday support, this is an opportunity to make a tangible impact across our performance pathway.
You'll contribute to the development of emerging talent and established professionals, using technical expertise, performance data and evidence-based coaching to support player progression. You'll also collaborate with our science and medicine teams on workload management, contribute to player appraisals and development reviews, and have the opportunity to deputise for the Lead Bowling Coach when required. With involvement across both the winter and summer programmes, including the Academy overseas training camp, this consultancy role offers the opportunity to work within a high-performance environment and help shape the future of pace bowling at Warwickshire.
Previous coaching experience at Academy level or above, alongside an ECB Specialist Coaching Award (Level 4), would be advantageous. We're also looking for someone who brings energy and enthusiasm, demonstrates flexibility and diplomacy, maintains the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality, and is committed to continuous professional development.
Above all, you'll embody our PRIDE values: Passion, Respect, Innovation, Diversity and Excellence, in the way you coach, collaborate and support the development of players and colleagues.
This is a consultancy appointment offering negotiable full and half-day rates, plus mileage. Coaching commitments will span the winter and summer programmes, with delivery and scheduling agreed in collaboration with the relevant coaching and pathway leads.
Joining us means becoming part of a dedicated cricket community where enthusiasm, teamwork, and a shared drive for success are at the core of what we do.
