Job summary

Turning Point is expanding its Recovery Lounge overnight in Manchester to provide enhanced crisis support across the night. As Overnight Team Leader, you will help shape and deliver this new service, leading a team of Overnight Recovery Workers while supporting service users during crises.

You will work with the Service Manager on operational leadership, oversee triage and risk assessments, and promote recovery‑focused, person‑centred care in a fast-paced environment across England's

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health, health and social care, or a related support environment.
• Previous leadership, supervisory or team management experience.
• Recovery‑focused and person‑centred support understanding.
• Experience supporting individuals in crisis and managing risk.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to inspire, develop and positively challenge colleagues.
• Genuine interest in mental health, through professional experience, qualifications or lived experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a team of Overnight Recovery Workers.
• Depose for the Service Manager when required and assist with day-to-day service management.
• Work on rota and provide direct support during mental health crises.
• Oversee triage, risk assessments, safety planning and crisis de-escalation.
• Promote recovery‑focused approaches that empower service users to make informed choices.
• Build strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
• Conduct staff supervision, support team meetings and contribute to service development.
• Monitor quality standards and undertake audits to ensure excellent service delivery.
