Job summary

Turning Point is expanding its overnight crisis support across England. We are seeking an experienced Overnight Team Leader to support the Service Manager, lead Overnight Recovery Workers, and provide direct support to service users when required.

In this fast-paced role you will oversee triage, risk assessments and safety planning, inspire and develop a compassionate team, and uphold high-quality, recovery-focused care for people experiencing mental health crises.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health, health and social care, or related support environment.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team management experience.
• Understanding of recovery-focused and person-centred support.
• Experience supporting individuals in crisis and managing risk.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to inspire, develop and positively challenge colleagues.
• Genuine interest in mental health through experience or qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a team of Overnight Recovery Workers.
• Deputise for the Service Manager and support day-to-day service operations.
• Provide direct support to people experiencing mental health crises when required.
• Oversee triage, risk assessments, safety planning and crisis de-escalation.
• Promote recovery-focused approaches empowering service users to make informed choices.
• Build relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
• Conduct staff supervision and contribute to service development.
• Monitor quality standards and undertake audits to ensure excellence in service delivery.
