Turning Point UK is seeking an Overnight Peer Support Worker in Manchester to provide emotional and practical support to people in mental health crisis during overnight hours. The role draws on lived experience to inspire hope, build trust and support recovery, while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.

You will work with a team to triage needs, assess risks, and promote coping strategies. The post is full-time, permanent, funded for 12 months with potential extension, based in Manchester.

Formación

• Lived experience of mental health challenges or crisis and recovery.
• Experience providing crisis or mental health support.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in challenging situations.

Responsabilidades

• Provide compassionate, recovery-focused support to individuals in crisis.
• Build positive relationships with service users.
• Undertake triage assessments and contribute to risk management.
• Maintain accurate records in line with GDPR and organisational requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve outcomes.
