Job summary

TOGS Mind is seeking an Overnight Crisis Service - Peer Support Worker to join our Community Mental Health Crisis team in Greater Manchester. This 12-month fixed term pilot role focuses on providing compassionate peer support during overnight hours, helping adults in crisis to stabilise and access ongoing care.

You will draw on lived experience to build trust, de-escalate crises, promote recovery, and collaborate with local partners to ensure people receive the right support at the right time.

Qualifications

• Lived experience of mental health challenges required.
• Ability to provide compassionate, non-judgemental peer support.
• Experience with trauma-informed and recovery-focused practice.

Responsibilities

• Support adults in mental health crisis to stabilise and access ongoing care.
• Contribute to crisis prevention and de-escalation through compassionate engagement.
• Collaborate with statutory and voluntary partners to route appropriate services.
