Job summary

Turning Point UK in Ashford is seeking a Recovery Worker for our 24-hour crisis service at Ashford Recovery House. You will provide person-centred, recovery-focused support to guests in crisis, helping them de-escalate distress and identify coping strategies.

No prior mental health experience is required; full training, supervision and progression opportunities are provided. The role includes day and night shifts, medication support, accurate record keeping and signposting to community services.

Qualifications

• Basic experience in health or social care required.
• Full training and supervision provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred, recovery-focused support to guests in crisis.
• Deliver structured one-to-one sessions using Recovery Packs and mental health tools.
• Assist with medication self-administration and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a safe, clean and therapeutic environment with infection-prevention standards.
• Signpost guests to appropriate community services and coordinate with carers and professionals.
