Job summary

Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre is seeking a reliable Night Porter to join the Nights Team. You will help maintain a secure, smooth operation and deliver a high standard of service for guests during the night shift.

Ideal candidates have experience in hotel night work, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. The role supports Reception and Food & Beverage operations and includes night audit duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or hotel guest services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of service at Reception and the Hotel during the night.
• Take over Reception from the evening team and hand over to the morning team.
• Use Hotel IT systems to check guests in/out, process charges, update accounts and nightly reports.
• Respond to guest enquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Operate the switchboard, take messages and arrange wake-up calls.
• Complete the night audit and perform financial and administrative procedures.
• Assist with Food & Beverage duties, including setting up conference rooms and serving from the night menu.
• Ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of all guests on duty.
