Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa is seeking an Assistant Night Manager to back up the Night Manager and lead the overnight Front Office and hotel operations. You will be the senior on duty two nights per week, handling guest issues, supervising the night team, and performing night audits.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel night roles or front desk leadership.
• Strong leadership and guest-service skills.
• Ability to manage incidents and supervise a night team.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Night Manager on rest days and lead overnight operations.
• Oversee the night team and maintain service excellence across front desk functions.
• Perform and supervise the night audit, ensuring financial accuracy and reporting.
• Manage guest arrivals, departures, requests and complaints professionally.
• Carry out nightly safety, security and fire checks; report incidents as appropriate.
• Liaise with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure clear handovers and reporting for the morning team.
• Uphold health and safety, security and brand standards during the shift.
