Job summary

Agincare is launching a not-for-profit children’s residential home and seeks a waking night support worker to join the founding team. The role runs 10pm–8am, totaling about 40 hours per week, with full training provided.

Experience is welcomed but not required, and a full UK driving licence is needed. Responsibilities include building trusting relationships, supervising bedtime routines, monitoring wellbeing, and assisting with care plans and daily routines in a supportive, safe, home

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards it

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
• Support evening, bedtime and settling routines
• Monitor children’s wellbeing throughout the night
• Carry out hourly welfare and administrative checks
• Promote independence and help children develop essential life skills
• Work with colleagues to provide a safe, nurturing environment
• Support care plans, daily routines and risk assessments
• Complete light domestic duties to keep the home comfortable and welcoming
