Job summary

Cherry Trees is seeking a compassionate Waking Night Support Worker for Goldcrest Lodge, Liphook. You will work 7:00pm–7:00am, ensuring safety and settling each child in a calm overnight environment.

This part-time role (24 or 36 hours) pays £150–£160 per night, with benefits including 33 days annual leave, pension, DBS support, Blue Light Card and on-site parking. Experience in residential childcare is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate nature with good communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during night shifts.
• Willingness to work independently overnight and follow care plans.
• Commitment to safeguarding children and promoting wellbeing.
• DBS check required or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Carry out welfare checks during the night and monitor children.
• Comfort and settle children who wake during the night.
• Follow care plans and medical guidance for each child.
