Job summary

Arup is seeking an early-career Overhead Line (OHL) Design Engineer to join our transmission and distribution team across UK offices. You will support feasibility studies, produce drawings and models, and contribute to routing, profiling and basic calculations, using CAD tools and digital design outputs.

You will work with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, developing your technical knowledge and understanding of industry standards while delivering work to programme and quality

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop in the OHL field.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
• Experience in consultancy or transmission and distribution is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support feasibility studies and design reports.
• Assist with drawings, models and technical documentation.
• Contribute to routing, profiling and basic calculations.
• Work with CAD tools and digital design outputs.
