Job summary

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a detail‑oriented Referral Booking Team Clerk to join our busy team. You will manage outpatient booking, handle referral letters, and support cancer referral processes while adapting to an upcoming digital EPR rollout.

You will work in a hospital environment with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and strong IT skills, using MS Office and the national e-Referral system to optimise clinic capacity.

Qualifications

• Good IT skills with ability to use Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work methodically
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines

Responsibilities

• Operate the partial booking process for outpatient waiting lists and scheduling of new and follow-up appointments
• Register and process outpatient referral letters
• Ensure compliance with policy and procedure under Caldicott and Health Records Management guidance
• Provide support to Cancer Two Week Wait administration and cover cancer referral processes from receipt to booking stage
• Assist with the transition to the new electronic patient record (EPR) system as part of digital transformation efforts
