Job summary

Spire Leicester Hospital is seeking an experienced Outpatient Healthcare Assistant to join our busy Outpatients team in Leicester. You will support the nursing team, perform clinical observations and assist with phlebotomy while ensuring a smooth patient journey.

The role requires experience in a clinical setting and flexibility to work various shifts, including Saturdays. Full-time, permanent with competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant within a clinical setting.
• Experience within Outpatients, Pre-Assessment or a surgical environment is desirable.
• Competent in clinical observations and ECGs.
• Good IT skills.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursing team within the Outpatient Department.
• Undertake clinical observations including blood pressure, pulse and ECGs.
• Assist with phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Prepare patients for consultations and treatments.
• Ensure clinics run efficiently and provide excellent patient care throughout the patient journey.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support day-to-day department administration.
