Job summary

The Practice Plus Group Holdings Limited is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant for our outpatient department in Southampton. You will support Doctors and Nurses, carry out routine patient monitoring, prepare patients for treatments, perform phlebotomy when required, and help with admissions, discharges and follow-up calls.

You should have hospital or clinical experience, possibly NVQ level 1/2 in Health and Social Care, and be proficient with updating patient records on our internal system.

Qualifications

• Past working experience in a hospital/clinical environment.
• NVQ Level 1/2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Experience as a phlebotomist and drawing blood samples.
• Familiar with conducting ECGs and supporting doctors.

Responsibilities

• Support Doctors, registered Nurses and other staff in the outpatient department.
• Carry out routine patient monitoring and care duties.
• Prepare patients for treatments or surgery and ensure required checks are completed.
• Update patient records accurately in the internal system.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and follow-up communications.
