Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Health Care Support Worker to join our Outpatient Service at Stobhill Hospital. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and support the delivery of nursing services across outpatient clinics.

The role requires experience in outpatient care, good IT and communication skills, and PVG check clearance. Permanent position with weekday hours and opportunities for professional development within NHSGGC.

Qualifications

• Experience in an outpatient clinic setting is essential.
• Experience working in a healthcare environment.
• PVG Scheme membership/Disclosure Scotland check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Undertake and record patient observations and monitor changes.
• Perform clinical procedures including urinalysis, BP, pregnancy testing, bladder scanning, glucose monitoring and wound observation.
• Maintain electronic patient records and assist with stock control and housekeeping.
