Job summary

Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Administrator & Therapy Assistant to provide operational leadership for outpatient services. You will supervise administrative and therapy support staff and coordinate referral management, waiting lists, and appointment scheduling to ensure high-quality patient care.

You will work with Therapy Team Leads to optimize patient flow, productivity and service delivery across MSK, SALT, Respiratory and Pelvic Health pathways, while

Qualifications

• Evidence of strong communication and teamwork in a clinical admin setting.
• Ability to supervise and train staff, with experience of coordinating teams.
• Proven diary management, data entry accuracy and confidential handling of information.

Responsibilities

• Lead administrative and therapy support functions across MSK, SALT, respiratory and pelvic health pathways.
• Oversee referral management, waiting lists, clinic utilisation and scheduling.
• Support service productivity, patient flow and performance against Trust targets.
• Coordinate with clinical leads and operations managers to improve processes.
• Promote continuous improvement and ensure compliance with Trust policies.
