Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Therapy Assistant to support the MSK Outpatients team at Christchurch Hospital. You will help run exercise groups, assist physiotherapists and occupational therapists with patient rehabilitation, and manage basic administrative duties in a modern clinical setting.

This permanent role offers 21.5 hours per week, requiring good communication, organisation, and the ability to handle a busy caseload.

Qualifications

• NVQ III Care/Promoting Independence or equivalent.
• Experience in therapy or care support preferred.
• Ability to work with patients with physical or cognitive impairment.

Responsibilities

• Support exercise groups in the gym and one-to-one sessions with patients to implement prescribed rehabilitation.
• Assist with stock monitoring, ordering consumables, recording notes and general administrative tasks.
