Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy Departments at Wimborne and St Leonards Hospitals. You will carry out assessments of patients after fracture or surgery, identify concerns, follow rehabilitation guidelines, monitor progress to set goals, and work under indirect supervision of a registered physiotherapist.

You may see patients delegated by the team and run classes.

Qualifications

• Assessment of mobility, equipment and function after fracture or surgery.
• Ability to follow rehabilitation guidelines and monitor progress toward goals.
• Good communication with patients and team, able to work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry out autonomous assessments of patients following triage by a registered clinician.
• Monitor and follow up through clinical assessment and interventions.
• See patients delegated by the Physiotherapy team and run classes as needed.
