Job summary

Nexfeld Group is seeking a Civil Enforcement Officer to uphold parking regulations and civil enforcement orders in the Reading area. You will patrol zones, issue penalties, and assist the public with inquiries, while ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow.

The role requires working outdoors in all weather, handling handheld devices, and collaborating with colleagues and agencies. A Full UK driving license is preferred but not essential; strong communication and customer service skills are

Qualifications

• Fluent English spoken and written communication.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm in potentially confrontational situations.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic IT literacy for handheld devices.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Full UK driving license preferred but not essential.
• Previous customer-facing or enforcement experience desirable.
• Knowledge of local parking regulations and civil enforcement procedures is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or by vehicle to identify and address parking violations and other civil infractions.
• Issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) accurately and efficiently, adhering to all relevant legislation and company procedures.
• Provide clear and concise information to members of the public regarding parking regulations and enforcement actions.
• Operate and maintain handheld enforcement devices and other equipment as required.
• Record and report relevant observations, incidents, and enforcement activities.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while dealing with the public, even in challenging situations.
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and other agencies to ensure effective enforcement.
