Job summary

Little Bugs Ltd in Fife is seeking a Nursery Manager to lead day-to-day operations at Fordell Firs. You will supervise staff, ensure safeguarding, manage schedules, and collaborate with families on outdoor learning plans, contributing to continuous improvement of our outdoor, play-based curriculum.

Qualifications

• Strong nursery and nursery management skills.
• Safeguarding and safeguarding children procedures knowledge.
• Excellent communication with children, families, colleagues and partners.
• Team leadership, organization and time management abilities.
• Ability to work proactively in an outdoor, activity-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day nursery operations to ensure a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment.
• Lead and support the staff team, manage schedules and staff ratios.
• Maintain high safeguarding standards and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with families and communicate children's progress regularly.
• Develop outdoor learning plans aligned with the nursery ethos.
• Handle administrative duties such as record-keeping and reporting, contributing to continuous improvement.
