Role Description

The Nursery Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Little Bugs Fordell Firs in Fife. The role involves overseeing day-to-day nursery operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children. Key responsibilities include leading and supporting the staff team, managing schedules and ratios, maintaining high standards of safeguarding, and ensuring compliance with relevant early years regulations and policies. The Nursery Manager will collaborate with families, communicate regularly about children's progress, and develop outdoor learning plans that align with the nursery's ethos. Additional tasks include administrative duties, such as record-keeping, reporting, and contributing to continuous improvement of nursery practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong nursery and nursery management skills, with demonstrated experience in leading early years settings.
• Candidates should possess safeguarding and safeguarding children skills, with a clear understanding of child protection procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with children, families, colleagues, and external partners.
• Relevant early years education qualifications (e.g., SVQ, HNC, or equivalent in Childcare/Early Years) and registration with the appropriate professional body are highly beneficial.
