Job summary

GI Group is hiring Meter Readers in the United Kingdom. This outdoor, full-time position offers flexible start/finish times from 8am to 8pm, with 40–45 hours weekly and potential Saturday work. Training is provided, with uniforms and PPE supplied and a company car included.

Salary is £13.23–£13.97 per hour with weekly pay, plus bonuses up to £2,000 monthly and annual earnings between £29,000 and £35,000. No previous experience is required, and progression opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Manual UK Driving Licence is required in most areas.
• Candidate must be physically fit for outdoor work and capable of walking 4–5 miles a day.
• Background checks include a DBS check and a credit report check.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving data from domestic, commercial, and industrial sites for Water, Gas and Electric Meters; full training provided.
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment.
• Conduct Charge Point Surveys.
• Drive and work independently with a professional approach.
• Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
