Job summary

GI Group in Harrow is seeking Meter Readers to collect data from gas, electricity and water meters for diverse properties. You will use handheld devices to input readings and ensure accuracy while delivering strong customer service.

Full training is provided, with 40–45 hours weekly (Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, occasional Saturday). A UK manual driving licence is needed and no prior experience is required. Company car and pension are included.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Must hold a UK manual driving licence.
• Physically fit for field work including lifting and bending.
• Reliable and able to work independently while following safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve meter readings from domestic, commercial and industrial sites for Water, Gas and Electricity meters.
• Update reads on handheld devices at each location.
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment and associated data entry.
• Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines.
