Job summary

GI Group Main Account is seeking Meter Readers to collect data from gas, electricity and water meters at various sites. You will read meters using handheld devices and ensure accurate data entry while delivering reliable customer service in all weather conditions.

We offer flexible full-time hours, training, and a pathway to progression. No prior experience is required; a UK driving licence is advantageous and a company car is provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Valid UK manual driving licence (1–6 points) and no serious offences.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift and bend in tight spaces.
• Clear DBS check and no county court judgments recorded in last 6 years.
• At least 5 years of employment history.

Responsibilities

• Collect data from gas, electricity, and water meters at domestic, commercial, and industrial sites.
• Update meter reads on handheld devices and maintain accurate records.
• Provide excellent customer service during meter reads.
• Drive safely and follow health and safety guidelines.
