Job summary

Somerset Council's Kilve Court Outdoor Centre is seeking a proactive individual to help deliver high-quality outdoor learning experiences and support the day-to-day running of the centre. You will coordinate programmes, lead activities, and promote the centre to schools, groups and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all.

The role requires strong communication, organisational skills, and experience delivering activities, with a focus on inclusion and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Outdoor Education, Sport, Leisure, Youth Work, Education or a related field.
• Relevant outdoor activity leadership qualifications.
• Current First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience delivering activities, programmes or events.

Responsibilities

• Help create exceptional outdoor learning experiences that inspire children and young people to learn, grow and thrive.
• Lead and coordinate exciting programmes, activities and residential stays.
• Build strong relationships with schools, parents, group leaders and visitors.
• Deputise for the Centre Manager and help ensure smooth day-to-day running.
• Champion outstanding customer service and exceed expectations.
• Promote Kilve Court and grow bookings for outdoor learning.
• Support safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing.
