Job summary

QuantockOutdoor Education is seeking an Activity Leader and Support Worker to design and deliver bespoke outdoor learning programmes for young people with diverse needs. You will ensure safe, engaging environments and work across office, classroom, and outdoor settings.

Applicants should have experience with young people, strong communication skills, and a driving licence with access to a vehicle. The role is term-time, roughly 08:30–16:30, Monday to Friday, in Taunton.

Qualifications

• Holder of a driving licence and own transport is essential.
• Experience working with children and young people of diverse needs.
• First aid and safeguarding training provided.
• Level 2 Paddle sports coaching qualification with BCU 4-star award (sea or inland).
• Youth Work qualification (e.g. Level 3) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of bespoke outdoor education packages for a range of age groups and needs.
• Provide safe, healthy, and stimulating environments for participants.
• Engage and motivate young people with excellent communication skills.
• Work across offices, classrooms, and outdoor settings, term-time hours 08:30–16:30, Mon–Fri.

Weare looking for a dynamic youth support worker specialising inoutdoor learning to join our growing team. You will have experienceof working with children and young people. We are looking for someone withexcellent communication skills, that can positively engage andmotivate young people, irrespective of their level of needs.

Youwill be responsible for and lead in the planning and delivery ofbespoke outdoor education packages for a range of age groups andneeds. Ensuring the provision of safe, healthy, and stimulating environments.

Weare looking for a flexible and committed individual, passionateabout empowering children and young people. You'll work in acombination of offices, classrooms, and the outdoor environments.

This role is during term time only to support schools between the hours of 08:30am - 16:30pm,Monday - Friday, however, this can change dependent on the needs ofthe business and whether school holiday programmes are coordinated.

Thisrole is subject to the successful applicant having an enhancedDBS check for child and adult workforce with barred list checks.
