Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Operative for a temporary role in Taunton. The position covers grounds and general maintenance across Taunton and Bridgwater, with duties including gardening, grass cutting and general repairs.

A van and tools are provided, DBS check required, and work runs for a minimum of three months. Ideal candidates are practical and experienced in outdoor maintenance, able to work remotely across sites, and comfortable using a tablet to log tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in gardening, grounds maintenance, or similar hands-on role.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to operate tablet to record work and communicate tasks.

Responsibilities

• General gardening and grounds maintenance across Taunton/Bridgwater sites.
• Grass cutting, strimming and hedge trimming.
• Maintaining outdoor areas and keeping grounds tidy.
• General repairs and maintenance around sites.
• Painting and basic repairs of buildings and facilities.
• Moving materials and carrying out general labouring duties.
• Identifying and reporting maintenance issues.
• Following Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
