Job summary

Pertemps Bridgwater is recruiting for Grounds & General Maintenance Operatives to work across the Taunton and Bridgwater area. This hands-on outdoor role involves gardening, grass cutting, hedge trimming and general site maintenance across multiple locations.

You’ll typically work Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm, with a DBS check and a valid UK driving licence required. A van and tools are provided, and immediate starts are available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience in gardening, grounds maintenance, general maintenance or a similar hands-on role.
• Are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Are practical, reliable and willing to get stuck in.
• Have good attention to detail.
• Are confident using a tablet.
• Have good communication skills.
• Can work independently and manage your workload.
• Have a positive can-do attitude.
• Hold a full clean UK driving licence - essential.

Responsibilities

• General gardening and grounds maintenance across multiple sites.
• Grass cutting, strimming and hedge trimming.
• Maintaining outdoor areas and keeping grounds tidy.
• General repairs and maintenance around sites.
• Painting, basic repairs and upkeep of buildings and facilities.
• Moving materials and carrying out general labouring duties when required.
• Identifying and reporting maintenance issues.
• Following Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.

• Location: Taunton / Bridgwater area
• Pay: £12.82 - £15.38 per hour, depending on experience
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm
• Start: ASAP, subject to DBS check
• Van provided for business use

• Minimum 3 months' work

We are currently recruiting for Grounds & General Maintenance Operatives to work across the Taunton and Bridgwater area.

This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys working outdoors and has experience in gardening, grounds maintenance and general property maintenance.

We have 1-4 positions available and are looking for reliable, practical individuals who are available to start as soon as possible.

The Role

• General gardening and grounds maintenance
• Grass cutting, strimming and hedge trimming
• Maintaining outdoor areas and keeping grounds tidy
• General repairs and maintenance around sites
• Painting, basic repairs and upkeep of buildings and facilities
• Moving materials and carrying out general labouring duties when required
• Identifying and reporting maintenance issues
• Working across multiple sites in the Taunton / Bridgwater area
• Using a tablet to record completed work and update information
• Following Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
